The Purpose of Rightnow.org

OUR PURPOSE IS SIMPLE

The RightNow Campaign is a movement of 20 and 30-somethings trading in the pursuit of the American Dream for a world that desperately needs Christ. We connect our generation and their passions, skills, and desires to actual opportunities to put their faith in action. We boil it down to the phrase:

MOBILIZE. COACH. CONNECT

We are a movement of 20 and 30-somethings who are passionate abot serving Jesus Christ. We are fed up with mediocrity and we want our lives to count for something. We recognize and even submit to the simple truth that Jesus Christ alone is the hope for our world.

That’s why The RightNow Campaign does whatever it takes to get our generation to put their specific skills, passions and desires in action for Christ.

We have four objectives that guide our ministry here at RightNow.

   1.   COACH INDIVIDUALS THROUGH THE PROCESS: Our trained coaching staff personally follows up with everyone who expresses interest at events or through the RightNow.org website. Phone calls are our first method of communication because it is so personal. By listening, asking questions, and praying with each person, our coaches encourage and direct 20 and 30-somethings to opportunities that match their passions, their spiritual gifts, and their ministry experience. Over 20,000 individuals have gone through or are currently going through the coaching/connecting process in the RightNow database.

2.   CONNECT OUR GENERATION TO OPPORTUNITIES: The RightNow Network is made up of 75 mission sending agencies and Christian service organizations. Working with local churches and thousands of individuals across the country, RightNow connects 20 and 30-somethings to ministry opportunities through their church or with one of the organizations in the Rightnow Network.

On the RightNow.org website, the RightNow Network offers over 3,500 ministry opportunities in the U.S. and around the world such as church planting in Indonesia … Christian sports programs in South Africa … medical missions in the Sudan … inner city ministries in New York … graphic design in Central Asia … and others.

3.   CATALYZE OUR GENERATION TO ACTION: Fusion is a life-changing event where we work side-by-side with hundreds of churches to challenge 20 and 30-somethings to do something significant with their lives. We partner with some of the top voices in our generation like Erwin McManus, Donald Miller, Bill McCartney, Dan Kimball, Amena Brown, Todd Phillips, Greg Matte, David Crowder, Caedmon’s Call, Shane & Shane and others to bring a call for action. We challenge thousands of young adults to actively serve through their church or with one of our 75 Christian ministry partners.

4.   TRAIN TOMORROW’S LEADERS: In 2007 we launched LeadNow, a three day national leadership event for those ministering to 20 & 30-somethings. This one of a kind event builds into our future leaders and helps them learn how to mobilize their people for Christian service. Leadnow happens in conjunction with The Fusion Experience utilizing Fusion as a learning lab where the leaders can see the principles put into practice. RightNow is committed to resourcing leaders through events and media to mobilize 20 and 30-somethings to serve in their community and around the world.
